Stagonospora nodorum is a host-specific necrotrophic pathogen of wheat and the causal agent of Stagonospora nodorum blotch (SNB). Stagonospora nodorum secretes several unique effector proteins that induce chlorosis and necrosis on leaves of susceptible hosts.
