Characterization of regulated protein secretion in phytophthora zoospores

Secretion of pathogen proteins is crucial for establishment of disease in animals and plants. Typically, early interactions between host and pathogen trigger regulated secretion of pathogenicity factors that function in pathogen adhesion and host penetration.
