Hat advertisement - Kardella Hats

Abstract

An advertisement for men's hats. The background image consists of a drawing of an Australian farm, including patchwork fields, a farmhouse, a black stump, and white picket fences. Gum trees form the left and right sides of the print, each with a possum perching on a branch. The foreground image is a drawing of a man in a suit accepting a hat being handed to him by a wallaby which is sitting behind an open hat box. The hat box bears a smaller version of the same image as the print. Both figures are standing atop a map of Australia in red and green with the cities Sydney, Melbourne, Hobart, Adelaide, and Perth all labelled in black. Red text outlined in black across the top of the print reads 'KARDELLA HATS'. Black text below the map of Australia reads 'MADE IN AUSTRALIA'. At the bottom left is a sizing chart, ranging from 6 3/8 to 7 1/2, with black spaces for model and shade. Above the chart is black text reading '(GUARANTEED)'.
