Public values in post-Stalin fiction : attitudes towards authority, human welfare : political repression, truth and justice in Soviet fiction published between the years 1953 and 1957
Most studies of post-Stalin literature have been
written as investigations of change . Almost without
exception some claim has been made that significant
changes occurred in literature as a result of a
general overhaul of attitudes or of a degree of
cultural liberalisation . The extent and nature of
this change will be the subject of this thesis .
