Public values in post-Stalin fiction : attitudes towards authority, human welfare : political repression, truth and justice in Soviet fiction published between the years 1953 and 1957
Most studies of post-Stalin literature have been written as investigations of change . Almost without exception some claim has been made that significant changes occurred in literature as a result of a general overhaul of attitudes or of a degree of cultural liberalisation . The extent and nature of this change will be the subject of this thesis .
