This book has been written for those readers with no knowledge of demography who want to learn a little about the non-mathematical aspects of the sub ect . More specifically, it was designed for graduate students who need a rapid and fairly intensive overview of the subject. It may also give students who are thinking of specializing in demography a basic introduction to the discipline.
