The problems of the rural sector of underdeveloped countries are commonly manifest in limited opportunities for employment, low productivity, inefficient marketing arrangements , and poor living conditions• To overcome these problems, some countries are paying special attention to improving agriculture, besides planning for general economic and industrial development.
