Description: | In 1886 Grayndler became a foundation member of the Amalgamated Shearers' Union of Australasia (later part of the Australian Workers' Union). In 1895 he was appointed shearers' union organiser for the AWU in New South Wales and, in 1900, he became secretary of the Victoria-Riverina branch, Ballarat. Ted Grayndler was General Secretary, Australian Workers' Union, 1912-1941. |
