Cytoplasmic aggregation, the rapid translocation of cytoplasm and subcellular components to the site of pathogen penetration, is one of the earliest reactions of plant cells against attack by microorganisms. We have investigated cytoplasmic aggregation during Arabidopsis –oomycete interactions.
