A BEC Based Precision Gravimeter and Magnetic Gradiometer: Design and Implementation

Description

A precision inertial sensor based on the interference of matter waves has been designed and implemented. The apparatus is capable of producing both cold thermal and ultracold Bose-Einstein condensate (BEC) atomic ensembles as the inertial test mass.
