Studies on the economic regulation of Australia's domestic air transport industry

Abstract

The eight papers presented here represent the results of research extending over a lengthy period of time. While these papers are not presented in exact chronological order, there is a prominent sequential element to the work. In particular, several of the themes and issues introduced in my earlier and more wide-ranging papers, notably Papers 1 and 3, are developed and refined further in subsequent papers. The major objective of my research is to investigate various economic aspects of the relationship between government regulation and the performance of the Australian domestic air transport industry, particularly with respect to the provision of passenger services.
