This article maintains that the dominant discourse in the history wars set the tone for the 2007 Intervention laws, and the 2012 Stronger Futures laws that extended the Intervention approach. The dominant discourse in the history wars is founded upon negative colonial stereotypes of Aboriginal peoples.
