Description
Eclogitic xenoliths from kimberlites are occasionally diamond-bearing, and are often interpreted as having an origin as subducted oceanic crust. The existence of diamonds in these rocks constrains equilibrium temperatures and pressures of some eclogites to the upper mantle.
