Dynamics of Forward and Reverse Transport by the Glial Glycine Transporter, Glyt1b
Glycine is a coagonist at the N-methyl-D-aspartate receptor. Changes in extracellular glycine concentration may modulate N-methyl-D-aspartate receptor function and excitatory synaptic transmission.
