Abstract
There is an extensive literature on the ethics of quantitative research (e.g., the 18-chapter Routledge Handbook of Ethics in Quantitative Methodology published in 2011). It is beyond the scope of one chapter to survey that literature. Instead, this chapter performs a complementary and supplementary role, examining important but neglected topics and updating accounts of ethical issues in modern quantitative methods. Accordingly, this chapter focuses on three topics: (a) the ethics of Bayesian statistics; (b) ethical issues regarding research replication; and (c) ethics in the regulation of quantitative research.
