Hetero-olefin metathesis: interaction of M-C, S-O and P-C multiple bonds
Abstract
The formal [2+2] cycloadditions of metal-carbon and carbon-carbon multiple bonds which are central to the accepted olefin/alkyne metathesis mechanism are extended to include the reactions of metal-carbon multiply bonded compounds with molecules containing unsaturated sulphur-oxygen and phosphorus-carbon linkages.
