Panel discussion

Abstract

Some personal views of the panelists on important research directions in robustness analysis are compiled. This discussion focuses on linear time-invariant systems with uncertain parameters. It is concluded that new developments in robust stability analysis and H∞ control theory indicate that this will be a fertile area for future research. Analysis results that tie in nicely into synthesis should be especially interesting and may become stepping stones for the robustness research in the 1990s. Show more
