Abstract

Mitigating the types of nonlinearities present in slope-image data allow measurement of small-scale water waves. For the past few years, several methods have been developed for this purpose. Most of these methods involve the genetic algorithm portion of the hybrid. In this study, the genetic algorithm used optimizes for a set of Fourier coefficients along a row (or column) vector. A system prototype has been implemented on a parallel machine. Results show that the algorithm does correctly perform nonlinear interpolation and integration.
