Abstract
This submission was made to the Electricity Code Consultative Committee (ECCC) public consultation conducted as part of the review of the Code of Conduct for the Supply of Electricity to Small Use Customers 2018 in February 2022. The purpose of the ECCC’s consultation was to seek stakeholder feedback on the Economic Regulation Authority’s (ERA) Draft Decision. This submission advocates for improved consumer rights and protections for prepayment meter customers, including protections from disconnection during temperature extremes and improved transparency for prepayment meter household energy data.
