Abstract

While the United Kingdom is often discussed as if it were completely homogeneous, there are grounds for assuming that there are substantial differences between its four national parts, and between regions within each nation. Examines whether, and to what extent, there are differences within the four nations and 28 regions of the United Kingdom on a variety of 21 social indicators. -from Authors
