Abstract
Humphrey Case's article 'Neolithic Explanations' (Antiquity, 1969, 176-86) has brought in several comments, and we print here three of them with replies by Mr Case. Charles Green works in Norfolk and wrote Sutton Hoo: The Excavation of a Royal Ship Burial. Peter Bellwood is on the stafl of the Department of Anthropology, University of Auckland. Norman Hammond is agraduate student in the Centre of Latin-American Studies, University of Cambridge, England.
