dc.description.abstractThis submission addresses two related reviews conducted by Essential Services Commission of South Australia (ESCOSA) in 2022, namely the Off-grid Energy Network Consumer Protection Framework Review and Prepayment Meter System Code Review. The submission advocates for strengthened consumer protections for South Australian off-grid electricity customers and highlights the interaction between the reviews and the regulatory changes introducing mandatory prepayment for remote Aboriginal households.
