Abstract

In Australia improved herbicides and application technology have removed the need for cultivation. As soils are becoming physically degraded and eroded at a rate faster than can be handled by soil conservation authorities, interest has grown in conservative tillage practices which aim at protecting the soil by reducing the number of cultivations and maximising the retention of crop or pasture residues. -after Authors
