dc.descriptionIn order to separate the fine grain from the coarser variety sieving baskets made of bamboo are used. Three kinds of sieves are employed: A deep sieve with big holes which is first used after threshing
dc.descriptionfor the second sieving a flat variety with small holes is used after the husks have been removed
dc.descriptionand the third kind of sieve is used after the grain has been pounded. Large sieves are moved by a frame, the small ones by hand.
