Abstract

Description

9 April 1997. Note with tape: Scott Chaseling is a sculptor and glass worker, who completed graduate work at the CSA in 1991. More recently, he has undertaken a Fellowship with the Creative Glass Centre of America, at Wheaton USA and spent six months in Paris as Artist-in-Residence with the JW Power Foundation. His presentation takes the form of Performance/Poetry, addressing the notion that sculptors should not give slide talks, by arguing that one cannot adequately represent three-dimensional work in a two-dimensional way. Scott Chaseling is Visiting Artist in the CSA Glass Workshop.
