dc.description.abstractFrom 1996 until 1998 Judith Patricia Pead was the Australian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Sweden, with non-resident accreditations to the Kingdom of Norway and to the Republics of Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Latvia and Lithuania. Professor Peter Doherty shared the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine with Swiss colleague Rolf Zinkernagel in 1996 for their discovery of how the immune system recognises virus-infected cells.en_AU
