This vessel was used for the heating of sacrificial wine and is an example of the rarer version of this vessel in its square and four-legged form. Most commonly the vessel is in the form of a tripod and round. It is lidded, with two handles. The decoration is a horned, winged owl with a small dragon and the lid handles are two horned birds. -- h: 31.1 cm.
