Abstract

An advertisement in the format of a calendar. A scrolled up page reveals the forthcoming festive season being celebrated with a roadside picnic scene in the country. A car, motorbike and bicycle have brought a group of men and women to a grassy area under a tall tree where a cloth is laid out. There is a post and rail fence along the side of the road, and telegraph poles which give the scene a modern look. The main caption includes: 'Touring will be all the more enjoyable if you have your Car - Motor Cycle - or Bicycle shod with Dunlop Tyres for they mean absence of trouble, and good service'.
