Abstract
Howard Florey - Professor of Pathology, University of Sheffield, 1931-1935 and University of Oxford, 1935-1962. While at Oxford University Florey developed penicillin and in 1945 he shared the Nobel Prize for Medicine and Physiology with Ernst Chain and Alexander Fleming.
