Abstract
Description
She has discarded her jewels after vainly waiting. The picture illustrates how painters at Kangra anatomized women in love, stressed their physical charms and, by the intentional omission of friends, companions and indeed of all the inhabitants of a little town, conveyed a sense of total desolation. -- 8.5 x 6 inches.
