Abstract

The occasion was the signing of the Agreement of Scientific Collaboration between the academies in order to promote the development of relations between Australian and Dutch scholars. The agreement was signed on 21 August 1987 at which time Professor de Wied presented the Australian Academy with a medal from the Royal Netherlands Academy.
