Abstract
Description
This scroll, part of the collection of ancient art treasures at Diotokoji, a Zen temple in Kyoto, is a Chinese type painting of an imaginary tiger - to be used as an object of meditation for those who would acquire such fierce characteristics. It was this type of meditation which was used as a basis for Bushido, the discipline for training warriors.
