The execution of this group is remarkable. The woman, threatened by a serpent, makes a quick movement of the hips while the man holds her back by her arm. As the parasol indicates, he is a king, probably Siva, for the tambourine and axe are characteristic of him. The meaning of this carving may be: "Be not afraid of the serpent, am I not the Lord of Creation?".
