Abstract
Description
This photograph was taken at the Bulong longhouse, 142. 19 E. 5. 49 S. Universal grid reference 54M XU454573 (1: 100 000 Karoma map sheet 7386). Photographer's note: The finger-sized pandanus-nut is encased in a fibrous husk, which makes it an ideal paint brush. The widths of the lines to be painted can be varied by binding the fibres of the brush with string to form points of different sizes.
