Abstract
30 October 1997. Peter Adsett is a New Zealand-born painter who lives at Humpty Doo, near Darwin. He teaches drawing in the Department of Fine Arts at Northern Territory University. His work is concerned with the task of the representation of a particular place in its natural and cultural specificity, while challenging the boundaries of the literal and the abstract. While in Canberra Peter Adsett is Visiting Artist and Lecturer in the CSA Painting Workshop, and an exhibition of his work is in Photospace, 10-14 November.
