This photograph was taken in the Ialuba Valley, south of Koroba, Southern Highlands (now Hela) Province. Photographer's note: The ceremonial dress for this Huli ritual has obviously been influenced by lowland cultures. The Huli have trading and ceremonial links with several Papuan lowland groups.
