Abstract
A lantern slide advertisement for raincoats. The image consists of a drawing that has been photographically transferred onto glass and then hand coloured. A man dressed in a raincoat and hat and holding a pipe stands with his suitcase on a wet dock. In the background is a flower stall, a partly glimpsed horse cab driver, a clock tower and a ship. The caption in the shield-shaped box states that: I Wear a Genuine PERDRIAU WATERPROOF. Below in a horizontal box, the advertisement claims the coats are: Obtainable at...
